The iconic photo I took of Tomitae made it to their front cover of the magazine. The photo was done on an autumn day when Japan was trialing its program of reopening to foreigners.

Tomitae and me took a stroll along the Philosopher’s Path to admire the autumn leaves and to catch up with each other. Tomitae and me are friends for about 10 years now. She’s one of the best known geishas in Kyoto…The photo is titled "Love in Autumn" and forms part of my photo series The Four Seasons of Autumn 秋の四季.
